Jewellery Care

To keep your jewellery looking bee-utiful it will require a little love and care.

Our jewellery is made from recycled 925 sterling silver. It will naturally tarnish over time with exposure to the air and the enivornment, creams, perfume, soap, hairspray, cosmetics and perspiration. This is a fact of life and so regular care will help keep it sparkling.

To clean use a soft cloth or cotton bud to remove dust and dirt. If more cleaning is required clean it with warm soapy water.

Do not sunbathe, workout or shower in your jewellery, it will not do you any favours!! (exceptions can be made when taking selfies though). Avoid bathing and swimming when wearing your jewellery as the water can cause it to discolour.

Make sure your jewellery is the last finishing touch to your look to avoid any contact with any make-up or chemicals.

And lastly before you go to bed make sure you store it back in your box. Keep different metals away from each other to avoid tarnishing. To minimize scratching or tangling your jewellery, ensure necklaces and bracelets are fastened.

Extra care should always be taken when cleaning gold plated jewellery to protect the layer of gold from being worn away.

Remove jewellery when using hand sanitizer as this will wear the gold plating away.

Although gold plated jewellery will not tarnish over time like silver, the gold appearance may slightly fade depending on wear and exposure to chemicals and cosmetics.

To clean your gold plated jewellery carefully use a soft lint-free cloth after every wear as this will help maintain and bring back its shine. If necessary, you can use a mild washing up liquid with warm water and a soft toothbrush, then rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

Avoid using dip polish or abrasive jewellery cleaners as these contain harsh chemicals and can destroy your jewellery over time. We do not recommend the use of any jewellery polishing cloths that have been treated with cleaners or polishing agents on gold plated jewellery as this can remove some of the plating.
