The Manchester Bee

The worker bee, mostly referred to as The Manchester Bee has come to proudly symbolize Manchester’s history and represents the city’s indomitable spirit. There is a reason that the bee symbol is part of Manchester's Coat of Arms which was given to the City in 1842. First adopted as a motif Manchester claimed the bee because she is industrious little grafter, individually stunning, yet collectively a superorganism. Together we are stronger.
